Annoucements and Performances

MTNA Fellow

The Music Teachers National Association (MTNA) Foundation Fund supports programs
that nurture the creation, performance, study and teaching of music. The Fellows
Program is an honor bestowed by peers through a nomination and donation to the fund.
The CMTA submitted Corky Sablinsky as our nominee, and the state convention (VMTA)
agreed.
Corky was a co-founder of CMTA and has served as President, Festival Chair and Piano
Concerto Competition Chair multiple times. She also served as VMTA State Local
Associations Chair for eight years. Her hard work, enthusiasm, and committment to
teaching music with excellence truly deserve recognition. Corky will be recognized
by the MTNA Foundation as a Fellow at the 2009 National Convention in April, in the
trade publication, The American Music Teacher, and on their website.
Congratulations, Corky!
