Yvaine Dusuit Theory Olympics

The Theory Olympics were created in memory of CMTA member - and pianist/organist/teacher extraordinaire - Yvaine Duisit. Trained at the Paris Conservatoire, she had a passionate love for theory, knowing it to be the foundation for the deep understanding required for musical excellence on any instrument.

The games are a jeopardy-style event, where music students of varying experience are placed on teams and answer music theory questions both individually and as a team. Prizes are awarded after each round, with a grand prize at the end! Pre-registration is requested but not required. Contact the Theory Olympics chair <olympics@cvillemta.org> for more information!
